Kevin Spacey Foreclosure: Legal Issues and Unusual Living Situation
Thank you for visiting my blog to watch today’s YouTube channel. Today’s video is about Kevin Spacey, and maybe we can title this blog “#$%^ You Could Never Get Away With!” You might think I’m kidding until you see the latest news regarding his foreclosure case. What’s next for Spacey? Unless he settles his debt, bankruptcy is likely.
Below is a summary of what this YouTube video focuses on. The video can be seen at the end of this blog post or via my YouTube Channel by clicking here.
The Kevin Spacey Foreclosure. Weird.
Now, I’ve covered Kevin Spacey in previous videos and blog posts. His acting ability is beyond amazing. On a side note, I saw online that the famed actor James Earl Jones passed away earlier today. Talk about another fantastic actor. Below is my post on social media.
Now, Spacey has had a string of legal problems. He’s been involved in several sexual harassment allegations. He was sued and charged criminally, and the charges were either dismissed or he was acquitted on the remaining charges. Even the person who sued him for sexual harassment lost the case and owes Kevin Spacey attorney’s fees. Try putting that into perspective.
But besides the legal issues, what caught my attention from the beginning was that Spacey was facing foreclosure on his Baltimore condo. Even stranger is that he never filed for bankruptcy to stop the foreclosure. But here is where this story takes a turn.
Spacy’s home has already been foreclosed on. It was sold at auction. That is the usual process, except for the part where Spacey still lives there!
Now, imagine that you lost your home to foreclosure and continued to live there. If you’re lucky, the legal process of a writ takes place. In reality, you are probably leaving in handcuffs.
Apparently, the owner is negotiating with Spacey’s lawyers to have him leave in six months. Here’s a rhetorical question: Have you ever negotiated with someone to take back what is yours?
Now, if Spacey wasn’t concerned with the foreclosure, why would he be concerned with complying with an agreement to leave in six months? I hope any agreement is clear on liability issues, or things can get messier than they already are.
