U.S. Bankruptcy Court: District of New Hampshire

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Hampshire operates out of a single location in Concord. While the court is staffed for in-person business, electronic filing via PACER.gov and CM/ECF is the standard for practitioners and highly encouraged for all filers. This quick video shows how to use PACER.gov.

Note that as of November 2024, the Honorable Kimberly A. Bacher was sworn in as the first woman to serve as Chief Judge for this district. The Clerk of Court is Kristie Trimarco, who has led the administrative office since early 2023.

Local Bankruptcy Rules & Resources

The District of New Hampshire operates under its own Local Bankruptcy Rules, which were most recently revised and adopted with an effective date of February 1, 2026.

As a published author in bankruptcy, I always emphasize that local culture often dictates the “unwritten” rules of the courtroom. Given New Hampshire’s relatively small, tight-knit bankruptcy bar, staying current with the 2026 Local Rules and specific Judicial Opinions is essential for any successful filing.
