Stopping Foreclosure!
Facing foreclosure can be a daunting experience for anyone. I’ve handled hundreds of foreclosure cases and when I was facing foreclosure, it was a stressful experience. But there are options available to help you navigate this challenging situation whether filing Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Understanding your rights and exploring potential solutions can make a significant difference in the outcome.
In this post, we’ll delve into various strategies that may help you save your home, such as deed in lieu of foreclosure, mortgage refinancing, and even bankruptcy. Let’s explore these options together.

Facing Foreclosure? Here’s How Bankruptcy Might Help Sell Your Home
Today’s video tackles the subject of foreclosure and what to do. But no worries, there is hope!
There are several options that I will discuss once the foreclosure begins.
1. You could do nothing, but that depends on your state. You must confirm that a creditor or the mortgage lender can’t pursue you with a deficiency judgment.
2. A deed in lieu of foreclosure will also be discussed, and if you are strapped for cash, you can negotiate with a lender for a payout! This could provide much-needed financial assistance, especially for moving into a new place.
3. If there’s equity, a mortgage refinance is possible, or maybe new terms can be negotiated.
4. Selling your house is also possible pending foreclosure; with bankruptcy, you might be able to delay the foreclosure long enough to sell your home.
So, I’ll discuss how the automatic stay, which pauses most lawsuits, including foreclosure, could work with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
