Chaos with Mass IRS Firings
So it continues, now the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is in the crosshairs of the fake government agency DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency). The IRS firings could add another 6,700 federal employees to the list of the unemployed.

Mass IRS Firings Help No One!
What is there to gain from all this chaos as DOGE and President Trump destroy the morale of the federal government employees, if not the country? I have no clue. This isn’t a construction project where President Trump, as a real estate developer, can take a wrecking ball to a building. That approach doesn’t translate well with the federal government.
Even Republicans are feeling the rage from their constituents. Just ask Representative Rich McCormick from Georgia, as constituents shouted “shame” at a town hall earlier this week. Then again, Rep. McCormick thinks school-age children should work at McDonald’s instead of getting free lunches. Talk about ignorance.
We have already seen mass firings with probationary federal employees. Reports are also that President Trump has requested the firing of all Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyers hired during the Biden administration. How is any of this good for the economy?
As an update, twenty-one members of the DOGE team have resigned in protest, believing they were jeopardizing the risk of sensitive data.
Besides the potential that Social Security checks could arrive late due to more firings, it’s clear that the IRS will now be late in processing tax refunds. Tax refunds that people depend on. Everybody I have ever met has made plans with their tax refunds the second they file. But guess what, we may not see any more e-filing thanks to DOGE. Who knows why other than businesses would rather you pay for the same service that is currently free?
Of course, any goal of going after tax cheats also seems impossible because of the mass IRS firings. This is why I keep saying that chaos creates political instability, which creates financial instability.
Be prepared financially. There’s no reason to believe this will end well economically, especially as President Trump continues with his tariff threats. President Trump is now saying there will be a 150% tariff on any country that considers using alternatives to the dollar, referring to the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the UAE).
Let’s be clear, other governments would love to have alternatives to U.S. currency, and since we live in a consumer-based economy, meaning we lack production, we have more to lose, and the other countries have more to gain.
