Trump’s Running the Country Like a Business

Are you sure you want the country run like a business? How would you feel if, at a meeting, your new CEO or boss announced they were “eating the cats and dogs,” and then later posted a silly video of themselves, shirtless, turning the Gaza Strip into their “dream” with frozen drinks poolside with Prime Minister Netanyahu? What would you think of that CEO?

Running the Country Like a Business

People often say they voted for President Trump because they wanted a businessman to run the country like a business. Do you think that’s how people actually run a business? What if that CEO then started posting on social media that the former CEO was assassinated four years ago and replaced with a clone? Where do you think that business is headed? Is that a business you’d want to be a part of? It seems to me that the business would go bankrupt sooner or later.

And yet, the president is reposting on Truth Social. With a little critical thinking, you’d ask yourself: He was assassinated? No one said anything? No one came forward? His wife, Jill Biden, didn’t figure this out? Hunter Biden didn’t figure this out? No whistleblowers? That could be one approach, although those who believe President Trump will argue they were part of this massive cover-up. The opposite side rationalizes President Trump’s behavior by arguing, “Well, he was just joking. He’s got a quirky personality.”

Is that how you want your CEO running your business in public? Maybe over a couple of nice, cold beers, or a rum and coke like I had yesterday. Maybe it’s a good idea because it’s funny between friends, assuming it’s a joke. But when everyone is watching, like your competitors or even the people you do business with, do you still think it’s a good idea to be quirky and different, if not borderline crazy? Is that a business you’d want to do business with? Probably not.

And so, that’s where we are. The latest conspiracy theory from President Trump was posted on Truth Social. That former President Joe Biden was killed four years ago and replaced by a clone, which makes zero sense, of course. That’s where we are. That’s “running the country like a business.” That’s more like running a business into the ground. Be prepared financially.
