Chapter 7 trustees in Puerto Rico oversee bankruptcy estates under §704(a), and carry out duties such as reviewing the debtor’s schedules, conducting the Section 341 Meeting of Creditors under oath, and liquidating non-exempt assets for creditor distribution.

To fulfill their responsibilities, trustees require financial documents such as tax returns, pay stubs, and bank statements. Failure to produce these financial records in a timely manner can prompt the trustee to adjourn the 341 Meeting or move for dismissal under §521(a)(3)–(4).
